Like one of my youngest listeners wanted to know the meaning of ash Wednesday, and I hope he is able to listen and let me just read it off. Now, it's a Catholic thing. I know other religions may practice it and may do it, or people just do it who are not even religious at all or don't have the faith for some reason.

8:39 I've known people who don't declare anything that they belong to, anything that's religious or faith oriented, but they will go by a church who, particularly a Catholic church that does the ashes. And there was a pastor. I don't know what if it's an episcopale, you look like you had an episcopale, Young garment on African American gentlemen. He and two of his adjutants were. Standing on the side of the street on Wednesday, on Ash Wednesday. Uh and and you know asking, you know. Being available for people who wanted you just pull in. Now, I'm sure there was no questions asked. He did that in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. But listen, just dive into it a little bit because one of my youngest listeners want to know what that was all about. And nobody tells you stuff. So you're walking around like why everybody, like five people in the road got black ash on their forehead in the side of a cross.

9:31 Here we go. Ash Wednesday is celebrated as the beginning of. Lent, before the day period of their fasting and repentance, before Eastern civilizing mortality and the need for spiritual renewal through receiving ashes in the shape of a cross while hearing reminders like remember you are dust and to dusk you shall return. And that is scripture. You bore ashes to ashes, dust to dust you we were. We came from the ash and the dust we will return that way, Okay. It marks a call to self examination, morning sins, and preparing for Christ's resurrection by acknowledging human brokenness and seeking God's mercy, drawing parallels to Jesus forty days in the wilderness, and you need to have your parents go over that. When Jesus was in the wilderness, he went on the ultimate fast, and that's where a lot of these fasts come from, where he ate nothing.

10:27 And that's when the devil also joined him and tempted him and basically wanted Jesus to bound. Down to him. And I want to take you a little story. I woke up maybe months back, maybe before the New Year, and all of a sudden, I woke up and I heard this conversation and I'm like, okay, but I realized. It wasn't It wasn't in the house, but it was in my. Room, and the books was saying, come on, just throw yourself down your angels. They won't let you hurt yourself. I was like, oh, this is forty this is that conversation with Satan, the devil in Jesus, And I'm telling. You this is what I heard. Jesus like, who do you think? Who you tripping? Who you messing with? I know you were there in the beginning, but you lost that space, your rights.

11:09 So what you're trying to do. You think I'm. Gonna say you who made you nothing? I'm seeing now, I'm. Just hearing this boy, this conversation, and I'm doing it like a tennis match, like what you're gonna say, what you're gonna say, And Jesus like, homie homes and you see that, homes we give the earth. You leave me because I got work to do. Get out of here. And I'm like, and I'm looking at. Yeah, get out of there, you know. So so what that was? That opened up a whole lot of revelation from me as far as knowing your authority, knowing your power, knowing what what what your commands are, what you have the right to do. And that's why you need to study your Bible, not read it. Need to show yourself a proof and then you meditate. You don't have to memorize scripture.

12:04 Trust me. If you go over you're. Like, oh my god, I saw this one scripture, one of my favorites, Psalms eighty one and six. And I'm gonna teach myself. But don't be trying to figure out how old I am. But I graduated from high school in eighty one and thinks it the number for mankind. So I remembered it. I removed you know, I will remove your shoulders. From the burden and free your hands from the pots. And that's when God began to show me, no, get out of my way, let me do this. I know how this story begins. I know what the mental is. I know the crescendo and the essence. I know when it's gonna go up. I know when it's gonna go down. I know the next hurdle, I know the next obstacle, and I know when the ends. And in the end, no matter what we win, we leaguers win.

They want their child, the children suffering, and you know, saying that they won't like, yeah, you know what. When I was twelve, I did the same thing. Are you so surprised? Surprised in the middle of it, said oh, no, we're not doing that. We're not getting that. That's a generational curse. Just because you see that, you may men may not know that I went through this. I did the same thing. I treated my parents the same way. So what you're doing the side. Remember say to me, I told them, I shown.

13:34 Me, I wrote my first book. The whole thing is saying to me was that's what you wanted to do. And then they were asking how the kids, Well, you know, DJ didn't believe they're drawing. Oh well you don't, Auntie, so she drew and so it's so true, and I'm like, oh, okay, but where's their work reading from there is you can't even say that. Relatives didn't even say, well, that is so nice. Those kids are gifted. That is nice. Can't even say that, but you want to throw it in my face. Oh they got that from something. No, we've taken it. And I'm proud of my daughter. She's taking the entrepreneurial level, which I was not meant to. I didn't think I was supposed to be any of that. That's her, that's her, that's her corner, that's her, that's her feel, that's her lane, that's her building, that's her masterpiece.

14:19 But she's beyond me. I just be sitting back in the cut and watch it. I'm proud of her business wise and everything you're supposed to do. And I set my kids down over the years and said to them, this is where I this is where your mom, this in faults, this is this is this is that other side of your mom. And they're like, uh uh yeah, I know what I'm talking about, and I know it when I see it outcause it's not you're not gonna you can't follow my footsteps. People say, oh, they got shoes the field. No, I take my. Shoes with me. You bring your own shoes when you're dealing with me, whether. It's my business, whether it's the podcast, No. Don't know. Uh uh me and mimic me that that's mine. Hey, that is really cool to know how to do business stuff and follow your dreams.

Jesus, when Gunna said I knew you before your mother's womb knew you, y'all got to go back and find that script in Jeremiah and the Book of Jeremiah. That's really real and it temples me. Even when I was doing therapy work and everything up, people were like, oh, my goodness, I should write a book and the story cells all their gifts are coming out and everything. And I just said that chuckle, because I said, God, they don't realize you you downloaded that in them before their mother's womb knew that. They were coming. And here right the pregnant you can get health and safety, is safe, delivery of your child, can get any generational curses from the family.

For twenty four years, and I say the last fifteen of those years, sixteen of those years I was doing work with the Department of Correction and probation, and in my assessment, I have a question, what is it that you wanted to be when you were a little girl? What were your dreams where when you were a little boy. Some people can't even remember, some can tell me. You know, I never dreamt, I never had a goal. I just wanted friends for me me. I just wanted to be a good kid. I wanted my parents to be proud that they chose me, they accepted me, they adopted me. Do you know my adoption papers. I was born on August second in the Seven months later the judge signs off and makes me legal. Nobody came looking for me, nobody came knocking on the door.

17:21 My parents didn't skip a beat. I don't know if they. Didn't realize it or not. Seven months God's number completion rest. So I can't say this about everybody, but I know who I am in him, and I'm gonna finish. I'm gonna finish this race, and I will finish it strong, even if I'm by myself. I will. A true social worker, a true social worker. We are problem solved. We're already thinking, okay, how do we get how we can help. I need to know how you got into it. First of all, I didn't like going into the field early on, in case management working in the middle health field. I didn't like going back and asking my seventy eight year roles, you know how long you've been not only how long you've been diagnosed, but when did you I had to come back to their childhood every time I had to go back, or they can say, you know, I remember. When I was five years old.

I mean, you amazing grace on an organ. When the old organs with the pedals and the hands and the layers and all that. That lady would would would would make it sank. She would make that thing talk beautiful and it would just draw. You didn't even have to have a new words. You know. Que music can get you. You see somebody just crying tears or floating like, oh my god. That's how we've been warriored. The first week in Warrior came about. I went to doctor Martha Sharmona's church up here, put stamp and handclapping. I love the organ. Yes, I'm telling you the organ. If you got somebody that, yeah, we don't have that.

He can make the key like you said, make that keyboard, just just stand up and attention. And he was just sitting there. And so I didn't want to go up. I didn't want to go up. And I'm just sitting, I'm rocking in my chair. I'm just like, oh, Lord, no, I don't want to go. I don't want to go. And it was a song the Lord began to sing to me earlier that day. And when I got I had to get up. Nobody was getting up. I got up and everybody's oh amen, Amen. And he just sat there and he did like this. He just did this. And I said, God is so good and he let me know and he sing this to me. God sang this to me today.

But this weekend, before the news of everything going on came, I said, I really feel sorry for people who don't know the Lord, really. Feel sorry for them. And I couldn't shake it off for a minute. I just I sat in that for a minute, because you don't know what you're missing. You know what you're missing. And God is good. God is good. So women, you know, women, we'll celebrate. We get one month, we get there. At least we get thirty days, you know the days. You know, and like Black history you only get twenty eight. But you know, for women's history, we get thirty one days.

Go treat yourself ten dollars, go to five below. I guarantee you you'll find something for you for yourself. Celebrate your womanness, that little girl in you, that grown woman.
