21 Thank you. Well, good evening, good evening, good evening. It is that time. What time is it? It's time for Setting It Straight with Ms. Gray and her fabulous co-host, Ms. Trey Trey from all the way from Virginia. Ms. Trey, how you doing up there? How you doing? Well, fine.

10 Weather was pretty good this way. A little cool, but the sun was out, and I think it's going to be a little bit warmer tomorrow, so I'm loving it. I'm loving it. How about you? Amen. It's a cross up. I mean, we wake up and it's 63 degrees. By the time I drive out of the driveway onto the street, it's 70. So I don't understand that to save my life. But anyway, let's take it to the throne room in prayer. Lord, we just thank you today. We give you glory. We give you honor. We give you praise. But you alone are worthy to be praised. And I'm going to slow it down because I want to be strategic. and specific in our prayers tonight, Father God, because your people need you unlike ever before.

52 And we bind, first of all, I'm going to start off by binding all the lies of the devil, binding all the attacks and distractions that he is putting forth through his workers of iniquity, the lies and the deception and just the foolery, the tomfoolery and people walking around doing crazy things and thinking, having crazy thoughts, the vain imaginations. We bind you inoperable in the mighty name of Jesus. And we thank you, God, that we can loose peace that passes all understanding, unconditional love. Father God, we just thank you that we can know that we can go and read our Bibles and study and our Bibles about you and learn how we could do better for ourselves.

37 I thank you, Father God, that there are people who've not given up on hope in you and faith in you, and they're determined to try you and see just as your word says. And so we thank you that we're a part of that movement. We thank you that we are part of that mindset and we're going to forever give you all the praise and glory as we get behind the cross. We honor you. We glorify you. We ask you to save us all. Set your captives free. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen and amen. Amen and amen. Well, had an exciting, all right, check-in time. I've got some new people, newbies watching. So I need you to check in. You don't have to say much, but just say hello. Tell us where you're checking in from.

22 Let's go. All right, Misty. There we go. Mickey, here we go. Here we go. Let's line it up. Amen, amen, amen. God is working, God. Guys and gals, God is working. He is doing a new thing. He's putting a smile on your face. He's putting a dance in your step. I'm telling you, I'm telling you, you got this is the time to change your life. Give it to him right now. Just give it to him. Hands up, Father God, forgive me of my sins. I believe in you, Lord. I believe in your son, Jesus, and I believe in the Holy Spirit. I thank you for my protective angels. I thank you for that, which you're going to help me go through. And I thank you, God, for even the long suffering. Hey, Charles, even the long suffering. Give your lives to him right now. You can't lose. He is blessing you. blowing my mind blessing. He's blowing my mind.

13 So I can only imagine for my new babies out there coming into the fold, oh, you're going to be like, what, what? And you know what I said years ago when I gave my life to Christ, this is what I was missing all this time. And I say it to this day in my sixties. Wow. What took me so long? What took me so long? And speaking of birthdays, Help me wish Miss Trey Trey her birthday is tomorrow, eh? But please help us say happy early birthday to her. I need everybody clocking in saying happy birthday, happy birthday, even if you're new to the station. Happy birthday to y'all. Happy birthday. Happy birthday to y'all. Happy birthday. Come on, y'all.

58 Come on. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Yes, I can sing. I can sing. There you go. Come on, roll it in. Roll it in. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Come on now. Happy birthday. She's made it to another year, y'all. She's made it another year. Happy, healthier, wealthier, and wise. And wise. And why? Happy birthday. And I know she's going to work tomorrow. I already know she's going to work. Where's your sister? Where's your sister out there? She needs to check in. She's going to get better at that, but you need not work on your birthday.

38 Yeah, well, hopefully she's able to log in. Yeah, hopefully she's able to log in. Happy birthday. Thank you, Mickey. Come on in, y'all. Come on in. Come on in. Happy birthday. Huh? Yeah. Amen. And amen. And amen. And amen. There was Charles. Come on guys. Come on. There you go. There you go. This is how we do it. This is how we do it. This is how we celebrate each other. If the world, can you imagine if the people, if people who are really love, love humans, love mankind and want peace. If we all just gathered together like that, like that, just like, it's not all you have to do is ask. All you have to do is ask. Can you imagine what kind of world we would be in right now? Anastasia!

22 Thank you. Come on. I know there's more of y'all watching, even the peepers. Come on and say happy birthday to Miss Trey. That's the least you can do. Then you can log off. Okay. Thank you. Hallelujah. Anyway, yeah, I'm really raw these days. I thank you. There's nothing like going to your mountain, going to your valley, and taking out some time, some precious time. You don't want to be driven there. You got to be careful. You need to check in. The Bible says, judge yourself so you won't be judged. Actually, check yourself so you won't be checked. So you don't want to ever be driven to your valley like, oh my God, I can't stand the world. I can't stand it anymore. I just got to just be quiet. I got to silence my phone.

05 I got to not look at social media. You don't want to be driven there. You want to walk there on your own. OK, and then you go in your valley and you be quiet. You could have a silent scream. You could be like, oh, my God. As long as you don't scare anybody. Don't go around people. Isolate yourself. Hush. It's OK. And you had that moment. I had that moment, even though I had to keep going. When you rest in God, people always, you know, God will say you need to rest in me. People will say, you know, you need to rest in God. When you rest in God, you don't actually come off the grid too much to where you're not living your everyday life. So if I've got a meeting, I've got, you know, I've got my volunteer work later this week. I've got some appointments. I may be resting. This weekend I was resting in God, but guess what? I was at two health fairs. I was just quiet. Nobody knows what I was doing and going through, but I had to go and I was almost driven there.

02 And that's, I'm not going to do that again. I walked to my valley. I'm not driven because I've got all this, all this stuff outside noise. Okay. So it's just get to that quietness. But I want to give a shout out. We went to two health fairs. One, I just happened to be at Walmart here and watching them pack up some bags. And I'm like, where y'all going? They said, oh, we're invited. One of our co-workers told us about her church or somebody in the community having something. She asked if we could stop by. I said, well, there we go. Oh, thank you. Oh, my God. Thank you so much. I was watching last week's episode and I was like, I was really happy to see him. Boy, it's always good.

47 I'm happy. We're happy to see everybody. Don't get that twisted. Don't go on your head. Come out of your head. We're happy for everybody. But Country C and I and us have a little history. He's been with us almost from the beginning, almost at the start of four years ago, even maybe a little bit before that. So, you know, and just to see him just take a moment, you know, and go through some extra steps to just... Say, hey, we love you. I really like the beautiful smiles. Oh, now I bet you say that to all your podcast hosts anyway. But I have to. So when I was listening to at the with the at Walmart and the young lady was going, I was like, now she's real quiet, real smooth. I said, now, look, those those are the Baptist people or they're the non-denominational. Now, I don't want them to get because they got a little issue with getting greedy. So you hide the bags under the table. OK, you don't have to put them all out on the table because the workers will take them. The volunteers will take them and the people won't even get. She said, you know, everybody else was already telling her, put them under the table. And so they gave me a little bag.

56 So anyway, Melissa and I stopped by and she goes, oh, my God. And everybody's like, you know, she's like, Oh my God, that's great. You came. I said, Oh yeah. Cause I told you, I ain't got nobody messing with you now. Cause I'll stay here all day and I got no problems. Cause she's a real quiet soul. Very, you know, really quiet. So I know they'll look at her and say, Oh, we can just run. No, you didn't run that. She goes, no. Ms. Gray, everybody was very nice to me. Other folks were listening. They were very nice. They've been very friendly and everything. Nobody's been abrupt. I said, very good. They were all listening to her tell me that. They're probably like, who is that? Is she the CEO of Walmart? I can run a store now. Shall I take over? I'm just joking. The second one we went to was hosted by the New Church of Faith of Orlando. I guess it's I think it's the first one, but it's a community health and wellness fair. Guys, I have not seen this many resources in one spot. Oh, wow. That's awesome. Yeah.

59 And they did like a little treasure thing. You have to, when you go to the table, you had to, they'll stamp it for you or they'll initial it. I'm like, we couldn't even see everybody. It was just, I mean, they had live EKGs exams there. Yes, ma'am. I just, you know, and there were some people, there was a lady there, a vendor there. She was taking a, that sounds like it was nice. It was Anastasia. It was free. And this gentleman on a little trolley followed us around till I parked. I said, do you have any handicap parking? He said, try the back. So we went around the back. Here he come with the trolley. He said, let me take you around. I'm like, oh, thank you so much. You know?

40 And it was organized, you know, and stuff. So, you know, shout out the New Church of Faith. You all did a very good job. I'm a social worker. I was totally. And then they had a science. a placard sign saying, now, if you are sick and things like that and something, you start feeling faint, we are not responsible for that. But by you coming in and we giving you a bracelet, you agree that we could call the local EMS or 911 on your behalf. I like that sign. I told her to take a picture of that. That's a sign on everybody's event that you're going to have you by you coming in here. You agree that if you have some kind of illness or attack or whatever, we're caught.

21 You get you know that we're going to call 9-1-1 for you. If you don't agree, don't come in. Yes, ma'am. Both of those were churches. They were located at churches. Yes, ma'am. So, you know, I just want to kind of put this in there. And so that's what it's about. You know, the church, the mission of the church, being able to pull community resources together because there's a lot of the parishioners or congregation that go through things. And that is awesome. Remember, we used to do that down in Palm Beach County. And so. even to the point when they would put on these, these, these fairs, I think, um, they had breast cancer screenings and stuff like that. And I think as a result of somebody going there, they sent them to the, to be checked further because they saw something in them.

08 So it, it, it, I mean, that's churches. If you're able to do that. And I'm saying, um, even if you just have the venue and you know, other resources are called community. Hey, we're such and such church. And we want to do that. That is awesome. I'm looking at that. That is a lot of resources. Do you see that? Yeah. That's, that's a lot. They were on top of each other. That was well organized. You had the health department. You had all the hospital reps there. You had doctors there. You had lawyers there doing wills and Testament stuff. Um, You had bra fittings. A vendor doing bra fittings. I mean, Department of Health was there.

49 I don't know. So I had to keep this little, they call it a passport. I had to keep this because I like to see how in the world Did you get all these people there in one spot? And on time, they were settled. You know, go ahead. I'm sorry. No, no, no. You're fine. No, it's just organizations. A lot of organizations are just waiting for people to ask them, you know, because if I'm not mistaken, some of the thing is part of is outreach and marketing. That's a good way to. Yes. Yes. Different screenings, what they have to offer. I know down there we utilize law enforcement. They have certain things that they do to build rapport with community members. When I was doing it down there, they would bring out the mounted horse so people can feed the animals to try to de-escalate some things. They had other stuff that they had going on. They introduced the dogs. They helped to find lost people and senior citizens and children and stuff like that.

44 So they'll be more familiar with what's going on because. Let me tell you, there are a lot of resources that could be accessible, but you have to pull. Them and ask. And then I'm pretty sure I'm out. Just like I said, the. Young lady at Walmart, a co-worker said, would you mind coming? And they're like, no problem. They were already getting bags together. Everybody has something to give. We walked away. We started out with a tiny bag when we got in. When you walk in, you get a little plastic bag. And then we got another little bag. It kept going. And we got big bags here. I have BJ to bring this over to me. Oh, Advent Health, they supplied the big bag. And I got four bags in here. Four bags of pens. Um, the squishy balls, you know, and I, you know, I'm big on those. I mean, and they're blue and yes, it was just really, and of course, you know, you got your granola bars, they have bottles of water and things like that. They had a lady there who's a nutritionist. I don't think she's a nutritionist, but she's a chef. She was preparing fresh salads for people.

46 I mean, you know, I mean that I have not seen this since I left Palm Beach County. And that was almost 25 years ago. I have never seen this many resources. You know, I've been always saying because there's no resources. I don't know where they are. Well, I'm keeping this. I'm keeping this. And if I ever have events, I'm going to make sure that these people are invited out, you know, and just let people know. I was amazed at it. And one young lady, I think she is an attorney. And I got that the Lord had me to talk to her. about the fact, I say, this is financial literacy. Are you in the middle schools and high schools? She goes, well, no, because I'm with the adults.

27 I said, yeah, but it starts, we got to start younger because right now financial culture exists and kids are watching how their parents deal with money. And of course I brought up the show because I talked about how I have one of my avid listeners who picks up kids in the afternoon, in the early evening, getting them home and how the kids are listening to. And I had happened to have my will and estate attorney on talking about, you know, beneficiary stuff and all that kind of stuff. And the young man or the young child went in and asked his parents, you know, and made the parents come out to talk to the driver the next day. Like, what do you listen? Who are you listening to? You know, and the lady was like, oh, I say, yeah. And PTAs are always looking for free speakers.

15 You know, good evening. We got Tennessee in the house. I want to thank you for the script for your work you do in ministry for God and informing the people. Thank you, Sister Trey, for your input and your work. And Elder Kay, her birthday's tomorrow. So we already did the happy birthday. So please send out a shout out. Representing the whole state of Tennessee, please give her a shout out for me. Thank you so much. But yeah, Miss Trey's birthday is tomorrow. So we're doing it today. Yes, we're going to celebrate her in style. But yeah, I mean, I and this attorney, she she was I she got it. Her whole body language changed. I say, you know, what's your financial style? Kids don't know this. They don't know I can have a style outside of my parents. And I talked about my I'm a Sears kid. And that was the thing I was when I got 18, I was supposed to get a Sears charge card. And I did.

07 And here it is years later with my mom, full blown Alzheimer's, the banks trying to take our house and Sears is at the table and being ruled in the court proceedings at the bankruptcy court. So much that the bankruptcy attorney had and judge said to say, if you don't touch your mouth and leave her alone, you'll never be invited back here. Set him straight. Sears tried to take me out. So she got it. She said, I need to call you and you can direct me. I said, yeah, all you have to do is find out what schools have PTAs and start there. You'll get the parents, but start there. I want to say when I was down in Palm Beach, I think they had used to have banks come and the kids could start a bank account. Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. Early savings. Yes, ma'am.

50 Yeah, I think they started that. Yeah, I don't know. We need to find out. It's always good. Yeah. Sorry about that, Trey. Sorry. I'm sorry. I don't mean to interrupt you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. No, you're fine. No, I'm not. That's rude. That's rude. I'm sorry. But we're excited about these community events. You know how, I tell you, I miss, I miss that. I have to get back into it. We'll find out. Yeah, well, maybe what you can do is, you know, talk to your people for a bit. I mean, you know, your ED and say, hey, look, I've got an idea for a community resource fair, health fair. And invite a little bit of, the last place we went to, they had a bounce house. They had activities for the kids.

35 It's beyond the face painting. They had activity and then had workshops. Also, let me tell you, I didn't stick around for those, but we had money, emotions. Oh, that was a lady I talked to. And money, emotions and health, the hidden qualities. connection. Men, seven things to talk about to your doctor from a male doctor. Immigrant resources. We had a church, and I talked to that gentleman, but they had a whole, where they could divide. The place was so big. They had individual rooms where you'll go and have the workshops. Financial planning. Mental health services. They had two agencies. Even the Mental Health Association was there. Peri, pre, and post-menopause.

17 Okay. Okay. And stretching and mobility. I mean, and you can get information and you had the providers there. So it was so nice. And you could ask, y'all can have this anywhere. LDK up there in Tennessee. You know, when y'all get ready to have a food outreach, you can just call a couple of resources there. They will come out. They will bring things with them, freebies to give away. And the one thing I've always told y'all, one thing they don't want to do, if they're coming with gifts and items and stuff, they don't want to take it back to the office. So you get the people out there. Now, people don't be greedy and take five or six of them. Don't do that. But trust me, if they're bringing resources, the banks will come out. Like Trey said, they will come out because that's part of their gig. That's part of their funding resource either. Also, they've got to give into the community and more than just being a bank in a neighborhood. They got to do activities. And Chase has started doing these four o'clock little learning segments for 30 minutes. They got their banging people. And remember, I've shared this with you all. I think it was early part of this year. And I told the gentleman, I brought up the PTA again. He said, ma'am, I didn't even think about that. But you know what? I'm going to go ahead and get my list started. I will start going to the PTA meetings and speaking.

33 You can have people like AARP or Agency on Aging. 3-1-1, 2-1-1, Literacy Coalition. You can end up maybe at NAACP. You can have other organizations out there, voters or information, your municipalities. With a community fair, you can pretty much tailor it to the needs of the community. Food banks, you can go after school programs. Or, you know, go out there, you know, Boys and Girls Club. I'm not sure if everybody has that. But yeah, after school programs and stuff like that. And educate your county or city or. Whatever to find out what they have.

14 Because a lot of people don't know how to navigate that. Right. And we don't know what's available. I didn't know these people were still in business. I didn't know these people were in business. You don't hear about them on the TV. You don't hear them on the community resource channels. You don't hear them on the God. I'm not in my car to hear my, listen to my gospel station all day. Can the public, yes, Charles is for the public. It's for the public. Just go, you know, and, and, and Facebook is pretty good at highlighting events in your community. So go to that tab on Facebook and say, what's happening in my city, in my state, in my city, in my county. I want to just throw something out to that. If, this is one thing that you can do. If it's a group of people that have an idea that want to do a community fair, the thing, the biggest thing is where you're going to have it. So if you're affiliated with a church organization, if you know of a church organization or a program that might be willing to host it, that, that will be a good thing.

18 You know? So, and churches, like I said, the benefit of a church or faith-based organization, because there are also two trying to spread the gospel of faith and let people know what they're doing. And this is a way people will come where their resources. Now, sometimes you have to think outside the box. Now, you can't always do something inside, not unless it's something where screenings or something like that. But the majority of on the outside, make it where it doesn't seem so intimidating because they're, believe it or not, I keep trying to say this to people. Some people are afraid of or intimidated by going inside of a church. And the reason is could be church hurt. They feel like they're not inadequate enough or what am I, you know, or we not carrying my baggage being felt, you know, maybe feeling that somebody is going to call them out on that.

07 But a community fair is simply that for a community. If the pastor was there, I don't know what he looks like. If the pastor was there, I don't know what he looks like. And when you talked about that, I was talking with a voice text, a person this morning about the fact, who are you partnering with? What university? I was telling her about the event. And what university are you partnered with? You know, because that one, the lady, the one booth that dealt with your climate and making sure you stay hydrated and stuff like that. They're affiliate. They're partnered with the University of Florida. They got grants doing that. They come with this partnership. So always look for a partnership. You know, if you are a church. Now, I'm not going to say a church. If you've got an idea, call the local college that's in your area.

55 See and talk with the community person, a community outreach person. OK, not the receptionist at the front desk, not the registrar. Ask for your community outreach person. Yeah. You know, they don't have the time. The folks, you know, anyway. And ask them, hey, we're a nonprofit or we are a church and we're going to have a food event. We would like to invite your students out. Do you all have any clubs there? They would like to set up a booth. All this is free. And just to throw it out to you. You could pull in that college crowd. You could also look at programs that service a certain population. Could be.

35 servicing your intellectually disabled or developmental disabled population, mental health organizations to come out there to talk about what they have to offer. Even if, you know, the LGBTQ community as well. I mean, but you're talking about resources. And so I don't know what church is because I know some people are, you know, kind of iffy, but it's a resource. It's a resource. Suicide prevention is, Now, I guess, you know, they have people like that. So just think outside the box of people that you're trying to assist or could assist. And look at your population. Yeah. And at the same time, though, Trey, we're going to flip that because you may have a you may be a part of a community organization or whatever church, whatever that's full of elderly people. Well, we don't want to.

27 We want AARP there. We want, you know, area agency on aging. We want the Ombudsman Council there. But we also want some youth programs there. You may be able to partnership. That's what my nonprofit is about. Connecting young people and the older people. I've already worked with the daycare across the street. They're going to be sending cards over for Thanksgiving. I'm not letting the residents know it. I want them to be surprised. Then I also told them we're doing a Christmas store. And speaking of Christmas store, if anybody would like to donate new items for our Christmas store, not, you know, $ 3, $ 5, you know, nothing more, but I want to be able to give you a shout out for, you know, setting it straight viewership. If you all want to do that, let me know. You all inbox me, you have my number or text me or call me. Or tell me about it on setting a straight page on Facebook. And we'll get your items down here. I would like to just do a nice Christmas store. But also for the daycare, we're going to just set up a nice treasure chest box and let the kids come through and pick up something. This is for boys. This is for girls. And they can just come on through and be a part of that. That's all you have to do is ask. I've not done anything but ask and put it in writing what the expectations are. And the proceeds are going to go to the residents. But if they need emergency clothing and stuff like that, emergency supplies and stuff like that, the director can buy that out of that money. But I don't know how much it is. Don't worry about it. But I trust the director, too, because I taught him. So anyway...

52 But I mean, all you have to do is ask. I can put a community event together and all I need is my mom. That's what we do. That's what we do. That's what we do. We specialize in that. But like I said, I'm keeping these passports because I'm like, okay, I got names and everything else. And we did a good route. And plus I'm training the kids. Felicia has been with me before, but this time she knew what to do. Get her back. You get your old bag. There you go. And we circled, we went around and she said, oh, mommy, we get to go over here. have this agency clip our passport. I said, oh, okay, let's go back. Because I didn't know that's what they were doing. They didn't explain that on the front. If you've got rules, if you've got some expectations, you need to tell everybody on the front end. But I know we came a little later before they started. Another thing I wanted to tell you, and then we're going to get to our topic, and it's all dealing with our topic, believe it or not. You know how I've been saying that I miss having 12 noon prayer And why is it that people, a church don't have 12 noon prayer?

55 And then, you know, I think I've said on the show how none of our churches, none of our faith-based people are really teaching spiritual warfare. Well, I didn't realize what I was saying that out loud, that that was going to be the next venture that God would have me to do. So on Wednesdays at 12 noon on YouTube, we are starting a Bible study strategically and specifically about spiritual warfare. And I'm teaching it. You won't see my face. You'll hear my voice. And I kind of like it that you don't see me because I don't have to get all dolled up and stuff like that. You can hear my voice and you see that it's interactive. It's going to be homework. 29:35 And if you're interested, this is not for everybody I know, but if you're interested in joining and being able to have access to that, you got to text me at my number that's scrolling below or inbox me through setting it straight page. And I'm not sure if you can or not, if they allow the inboxing. So take my number down. You want us to send things or you will open up Amazon registry for us to buy from. Misty, shut the front door. I didn't even think about that. Where is this at? What country, C? What do you mean? The Bible study? Maybe the event he's talking about. The Christmas store or the Bible study? Let us know. As you said, where is this at? I'm not sure because if it's the Bible, yeah, Bible. Okay. Which one country?

20 Bible story, study or the Christmas story? He's like, yeah, both. Okay. I'll do both. The Bible study is going to be on YouTube, but you have to contact me so I can send you the link. Okay. Study. Okay. Yeah. The Bible study is on YouTube, but you need to text me or for my Mississippi, Louisiana, Washington crew. I will let Rebel know. I'll let our engineer know. Okay. And she'll get that information to you. If you're interested, let her know if you're interested or not. Okay. I'm not making this a general public thing. Yes, ma'am. Oh, just, just so, so it'd be 12 o'clock Eastern standard time. Also out in Louisiana, it's an hour behind. Correct. So it'll be 11 o'clock their time.

01 Oh, okay. Uh, Louisiana, Washington. Y'all need to talk to us. I don't know. It's a time difference. I think it is. Oh, let me know. Okay. All right. So it's 12 o'clock noon Eastern time on our Eastern time. Okay. And I think it's in Kentucky, Tennessee. It's an hour behind too, isn't it? Hour two. I don't think Tennessee. Okay. It's been a minute since I've been on a call with them. So I don't know. We set the time and everybody gets on. So Tennessee, I'm not sure. I don't think we're behind. I don't think there's a time difference there. Thank you, Tracy. I don't know these. I don't, I can't think of everything and I try not to. There you go. Thank you for that. Yeah. So, okay. Louisiana, let us know if that's, if that's the case, but again, you need to be able to have the link to get in. Okay.

50 Sounds good. Okay. Misty. Yeah. But it's, it's, it's talking about, and some of the things you'll hear that I've heard, you know, you've heard on the show here, but this is strategic Bible study. You're going to have homework and things like that. I just need to get y'all through the Bible. I got to get you through the Bible. Yes. Will this be taped? Yeah. Will they be able to go back and watch it? Okay. Yes. Yeah. Great. Yeah. And I just need you to leave a comment that, hey, I'm looking at this after the fact or something like that. I just need to see that y'all are getting it and what you're going to need. And, you know, if you're not getting stuff, you know, let me know. Okay. But yes, be careful what you ask for.

30 Be careful what you're curious about. Like, where's the $ 12, 000 premium? Why are people not talking about spiritual warfare? Because you can understand some of this stuff that's happening. And then I'm like, and God's like, and then it was Miss Kay who came to me and said, mom, if you did a Bible study, some of my folks would listen in. And I'm like, what? Great. Yeah. And I said, well, I wonder when I, I guess 12 noon, huh, Lord? He said, yeah, on a Wednesday. Okay, Lord. Okay. Okay. Okay. So I got new music for that. You know who I had to get the youngin' in the room over there? So he got my music and everything. Yeah, it's together. It's organized and it's beautiful. And yeah, Lord. Hallelujah. So anyway, okay.

14 Part of Tennessee is in Eastern time. Part is in Central time. Okay. Okay. And I think the folks out of Knoxville, they're Eastern because we are able to get, yeah, I don't remember. A time difference thing. But yeah, thank you, Trey, for bringing that up. And as for anybody else that is listening in from other states as well, or the Caribbean as well, too, you know, because I think I have some people out there, too. Yeah. So tonight, you know, as you all know, October is a busy month. A lot of recognitions, a lot of awareness and, of course, domestic violence. And oddly enough, Bully Awareness Month is in October, too. And so, and I'm not smiling because, you know, that's a happy time, but it's ironic that they would both be in the same month.

58 And I have told you from my experience as an individual and family therapist, most of the time, my domestic, my DV folks coming in for domestic violence also were bullies when they were kids. They picked on kids. They had anger issues and there was nothing for them not to put their hands on somebody else, a classmate. even a teacher. Now we see it's totally out of control. Students are hitting the teachers and anybody, hitting adults. And then you've got, these kids are angry. They can't even tell you why they're angry. And I believe them. I believe them. Can I just? Yes, go ahead. Go ahead, Trey.

42 One of the things is because you have some adults, unfortunately, can't tell you, can't identify anger. And I think we've, had some discussions in the past that sometimes depression in men looks like anger. Eastern time. Okay. Thank you, Elder K. Okay. Thank you, Elder K. Sometimes depression in men looks like anger because they're not, a lot of people are not expressive. And so we, I think we've had some conversations. And I know in my training in the DV world, domestic violence, that they talked about that, that the men were, told to suppress how they feel. It's not good. Little boys don't cry. Boys don't cry. Boys don't cry.

22 But when you're full, you recognize that when you are full. And how does it come out? It comes out as anger. You can only take so much until you explode internally. And so those are some of the factors that being able to express healthy expression and what that looks like. And sometimes people are made to feel that if you're expressing and using your words and using your tears, that that's less than, that is not manly, that is not masculine, that is not. But my thing is, it's more room out than in. And if you hold that in, when it comes out, it'll come out to the point that it looks like rage, that is impulsive, and you're not able to stop. And so it's always good to know how to express appropriately. And I just want to kind of put that out there as a preface, you know, going into talking about that, because This is one of my passions, and I know Ms. Gray is yours too, domestic violence awareness, and then advocating for victims of domestic violence.

25 But we also want to say too, victims aren't always females. And so sometimes they are the aggressors. So what you think is one way is totally something totally different. It's just not reported as much because of the stigma. Amen. And there's still a stigma out there. And And the anger. And yes, it's in the DNA. Because if you've got angry relatives in there and people, like you said, culturally, we're taught a certain way. Some of our parents have done the best that they could. Some just really didn't. They were out there. They were still messing in their mess and their confusion and their hurt and their pain. And then the kids are picking that up. And then you have the audacity to. Nothing wrong with expressing your feelings.

08 You just need to do it in an appropriate way. Yes, Charles. And you need to know the right time to be able to go underground, go to the valley and express that and say, OK, you know what? I don't like that. I've got a situation that I'm personally that was a part of me going to my valley recently. And I've got to tell this person the honest truth because I'm not going to lie, but I'm in a season of quietness. I've been talking all of my life. All of my life, whether I'm performing, I'm singing, I'm in speech debate. I've been talking all of my life, talking people off the ledge, talking people off the rooftops. I've been talking all of my life. And that's just in middle school and high school.

51 Then I got a career where I had to talk. And my passion is acting. So I'm talking. Voice acting, I'm talking. So I'm at a point in my life I didn't realize it. That I just like peace and quiet. And this is not to push anybody back. Don't get me wrong. But you got to pick up the signs. And to thine own self be true. From Shakespeare. Not biblical. It's from Shakespeare. But I had to realize I need to be quiet. And I like the silence. And that's a lot. Because I'm so quick to want to jump in. I want to mediate. I want to help. I want to help you. No, no, no. You don't have to go through this. Trust me. And I'm like, what in the world? And then people don't want to listen. Then they still keep circling back. And I'm like, I don't repeat myself. What are we doing here? But I like the quietness. Happy birthday again. It was nice to be here.

38 I have to get to work. Okay. Have a good evening. Thank you. Yeah. And so, yeah. So we've got research out there now. They're finally connecting those dots saying, wait a minute, you were a bully? How were you as a child? Were you quiet and introvert? No, no. I talked and I was the loud one. I always got in trouble in class. It's like, oh, but nobody ever caught it. And I'm going to go back to when I talk about a little baby. They're sitting up and you're like, oh, and then the baby go to reach for something. You're like, no, no, you tap them real light. Don't do that. And they tap you back. No, you stop that right there because they think that's OK. They're mimicking. They're mirroring you. But just oh, no, no, no. You don't hit. And you take that by their little hand. No, you don't hit me. You don't tap me. You want my attention. You verbally say something to me. But no, no, no.

29 You got to stop that. Cause I've seen that. I've watched that in families roll out. 12 year old slapped his mother in session. One day I hopped up. I said, no, this is my, no, you're not going to do that. And I had the, the law, the deputies called in Spanish speaking. No, you take him. He's Baker acted. And the mom just lets it happen. You know, it, Tortured and beaten by his father. Go ahead. But, you know, but they talk about that too, Alicia. Tendency, the male that watches that tends to grow up to be the aggressor. And the woman who experiences that, if her children are the daughters, tend to be the victim of some of this. And so you have to find a way to stop that cycle. And we know that, you know, the goal is not to have families separated, but to live in a healthy relationship. And my thing is, you know, that that's one of the initiatives that I'm going to be doing, hopefully be able to announce something a little later. But just being able to recognize what that is and what that means.

28 And so and even. Domestic violence is parent against child and child against parent or sibling against sibling. You know, or even if you're not some states, if you're not living together, but share a child together in this combat, that's pretty much domestic violence. But it depends on the state that you're in. the statue, but they consider that a family union because you have something in common, a child. Amen. Amen. So if my little folks are listening out there, you keep your hands to yourself, even with your own siblings. That's number one. Number two, if you feel that you have got issues and you need to talk it out with somebody, you go to your parent and you say, mommy, daddy, I love you all, but there's just some things I need to talk about. Can I get a free therapy session somewhere? I'm sure somebody's doing something pro bono. Check with the guidance counselor at the school to see if they've got resources. If your child is crying out for help, you've got to, you owe it to them. You owe it to society to help them while they're crying out.

35 When they realize I get mad for no reason. Okay, that's a problem. And you could be, or I get mad when somebody keeps pushing my buttons. That's called triggering. And there are people who like to trigger other people. They like to make you mad. They like to see if you're going to blow up and culturally as well. Yes, ma'am. I can just interject with this tying into the domestic violence and the bullying piece. People don't recognize the consequences of their actions. And when I say that, when if you're hitting or laying hands on someone to assault them, whether it's intentionally to harm, unintentionally to harm. If you hit that person in a certain spot, you can cause so much damage. And you say, I didn't mean to do that. To the point that it results in hospitalization, fatalities.

24 If you hit somebody in the right place, you could kill them. Or if you hit them hard enough and they hit their head to the point. It's trying, you can kill them. then that can be like involuntary manslaughter. So people, you need to think about the hitting to keep your hands to yourself and try to find words to do. Well, I didn't mean to. Of course, you probably didn't mean to, but typically action causes a reaction, whether it's the positive one, one you were looking for or the one that you weren't looking for. And even if it's the intent to scare, intimidate, you could do damage. When I see people taping, people fighting and stuff, if you hit somebody hard enough, you can start them to internally bleed again. They go to the hospital, depends on what state you're in. If you go to the hospital and as a result of the injuries that you put and they pass away, you could be charged with a, you could charge.

16 With a crime. And people don't realize you get charged with a crime. So you need to really take that into consideration and evaluate what types of relationships. You are in. And believe me, I'm not saying lead. This is not saying, OK, promoting. This is not. But I actually need to ask you if you're a person that struggles with keeping that answer to self, you need to look at trying to get some help and be honest. Sugarcoat it when you go into therapy session. Say I'm struggling with my anger because let me tell you, the other end of that, too, depends on what. Kind of job you have. You can be charged and then you can lose your job. And lose your license. Lose your rights.

59 You have to be very careful and strategic. If a relationship means that much to you and a person needs that much to you, you will do what it takes to make sure that you are in a healthy and safe environment. And just stop the cycle. If you don't feel like you're ready for that, you need to evaluate the relationship. And I'm talking about those who hit And those victimized by it. You got to watch it. Amen. And let me tell you another little thing about watching from watching my judge shows. especially Judge Judy, when the plaintiff said, oh, I went over today, had a fight. And the plaintiff said, well, I drove over there or I drove back over there. Right there, Judge Judy's like, well, you've lost this case because you had no business driving back over there to the scene. You created, why did you have a bat in your car? And you took the bat out. You created, well, I was trying to find something. Oh, you were trying to find something. So you were premeditating this. So also that's another thing too.

00 You need to leave the area. You need to leave. You need to leave and go cool off, get some air, whatever that has to be. But you staying or you going to find and cause more trouble just to get the last word. And we'll talk about that another time. There's sometimes there are people in arguments. You got to have the last word. And the argument keeps going on and on and on. And it's escalating and everything else because you got to have the last word. I'm already not agreeing with you. We're not going to come to a middle ground on this. The best thing we could do is to walk away and go to separate places, not even separate corners of the house, but somebody need to leave because things can happen and you're not going to mean for it to happen, but it's going to happen.

42 Like Trey said, you could kill people. You could break a rib. I mean, that's CPR. The licensed people are trying to revive you. They're breaking a rib, puncturing your kidney, puncturing it. And that's where the good Samaritan law came from. You can't sue them if they were trying to save you. Can't sue them. If they were trying to do CPR, that's why you have to have a card. And it has to be, you know, this is informative. Happy early birthday. There you go. Yes. So you have to you got to be you got to use wisdom here. But if you've got if you can't control your temper, you always results in you trying to you trying to hit somebody. I've got a T-shirt that Belicia, one of Belicia's friends said, you better find something safe to do with those hands. Because a waiter was kind of flirting with him and he was on his.

31 You tell him he need to find something safe to do with those hands. Oh, that's a T-shirt. And I got it. Amen. That's our time, guys. We're going to see you next week. Same time, same station. Y'all be safe out there. Music. Music. Music. Music. Music. so so Thank you.
